Reframe Your Relationship with Music
Move beyond performance and rediscover music as a mindful, emotional, and creative practice.

This 6-week journey invites you to experience music as more than sound, as a living practice of awareness, connection and conversation.
In this safe space, we'll use beautiful medicine songs to launch our conversation. You have music within you, and your charango has a
story to tell. Tap into the magic within. Go beyond the confines of performance and to the limitless potency of music as an offering.

What You’ll Learn
Across six live weekly sessions (From FEB – MAR)
-
to use the charango a tool for expression
-
to use songs as vehicles for creativity
-
to connect to the unique sound capacity of the charango
-
to listen to, enter into, and create a field with one’s playing and presence
-
tap in to inspiration
-
immerse deep into medicine songs
-
accompany one's self playing and singing

This journey will unfold organically, each week building upon the last, always adapting to the needs of the group.
My initial plan is to explore these songs together:
-
Aguilita (Lua Maria)
-
Blessed We Are (Peia)
-
Iluminar (Poranguí)
-
Camino de Alcanfores (Darío Poletti)
-
Icaro Mariri (Don Aquilino Chujandama)
Our Songs

Each of these songs is a beautiful medicine journey on its own, helping you not only expand your repertoire but also unlock new fingerpicking patterns, melodic possibilities, and rhythmic awareness.
Through a mindful approach, we’ll explore how to learn and integrate each song deeply, beyond chords and lyrics, developing a way of practicing that feels confident, grounded, and connected.
This is not just about learning songs, but about learning how to learn songs:
how to listen, feel, and internalize music as a tool for emotional awareness, embodiment, and creative expression.

Community & Support
This program is co-created as a group journey.
You’ll have access to a dedicated WhatsApp group, where we’ll share our progress, questions, and inspirations. I’ll be fully available to support you throughout the six weeks.

My teaching is based on personal experiences, songwriting, charango studies, a lifetime on guitar and bass, composition, and ceremonial playing. My style is with a soft touch, a lot of fingerpicking, flow, improvisation in a safe welcoming space. I work primarily with medicine songs and create arrangements and TABs for easy reading and playing. Honored to guide you on your path with the charango, connecting to your own unique voice and the Great Mystery.

I’m Monique Mizrahi
charango teacher and ceremonial musician.

20+ years of exploring & studying the charango. 10+ years of teaching it.
I've been playing music my entire life, a beacon of light through all the ups, down and arounds. The charango came into my life in 2003 on a visit to the Andes, handed to me by Bolivian filmmaker Andrés Bartos, literally to see “what would happen if this Andean instrument was played by a non-Andean musician”. Deep respect to the charango’s cultural context.
