A DIFFERENT WAY OF RELATING WITH MUSIC
At the heart of this journey is a different way of relating with music: connecting with your voice, with yourself and with the mystery available to all of us.
These songs are rooted in culture, ancestry and prayer. Practising them is an invitation to music beyond entertainment or performance, a place for devotion, presence and inner transformation.

ABOUT TWO PROGRAM
Rooted in years of study and months of deep listening in the forest, alongside the people who carry these sacred songlines. From hours of recordings, ceremonies, interviews and transcriptions, 16 songs and prayers were selected for these two modules, including Huni Meka and songs accompanied by guitar.
Together we connect with their pronunciation, melodies, meanings and musical structures, and with the quality of presence we bring to our singing. Nothing replaces time in the Amazon, but this offers a grounded framework to begin, or deepen, your relationship with this music.
THE LIVE STUDY JOURNEY
From October through December we gather once a week for about 90 minutes, gathering people from around the world who want to deepen their relationship with sound, music and prayer.
Week by week we work through the songs from the modules, weaving in recordings, interviews and stories from the wider research, with space for questions and for what emerges in individual practice. A private WhatsApp group keeps the rhythm alive between classes.
Classes take place on Zoom, guided by Luis Piazzetta, as a cultural bridge for integrating these teachings into the way we relate with sound, music and prayer.

THE PEOPLE
BEHIND THE JOURNEY
This study is held by different voices and perspectives. From elders to younger generations, interviews, recordings and teachings allow us to encounter different ways of understanding music, spirituality, the forest and life itself. Rather than presenting a single perspective as representative of an entire tradition, these voices allow a wider picture to gradually emerge.
Much of the knowledge carried within Huni Kuin culture does not live in books. It lives within people, transmitted through memory, practice, family and direct experience. Throughout this journey, we will hear directly from some of these walking libraries.

MAJÉ BIMI
Spiritual matriarch of Segredo do Artesão and one of the wisdom carriers of her people. Coming from a time when women were not traditionally recognized in this role, she represents a new paradigm within her community.
A student of the mysteries of the forest, she learned to heal through her voice and work with the spirits of the forest. Founder of Segredo do Artesão, she carries deep knowledge of prayer, medicine, weaving, ceramics and traditional Huni Kuin kenes, the graphic patterns of her tradition.

INKA
Bimi's grandson and a pajé of Segredo do Artesão. His relationship with the spiritual world began in childhood, with Bimi playing an important role in guiding him through those early experiences.
Today he leads Aldeia do Futuro, an initiative dedicated to creating a space for future generations while strengthening the continuity of Huni Kuin knowledge.

BARI BAI
Bimi's son and a pajé of Segredo do Artesão. His path includes the study of sacred forest medicines and their relationship with nisũ, the illnesses and confusions of the mind.
His knowledge connects dreams and visions with kupikin, signs associated with specific illnesses and their healing through forest medicines. He also facilitates traditional dietas at Segredo do Artesão, working with the jiboia, txana, muka and other plants and spirit animals within the Huni Kuin tradition.

CULTURAL BRIDGE
LUIS PIAZETTA
Brazilian musician, teacher and founder of Beyond Sounds. After years of studying medicine music across Latin America, Luis has spent extended periods living and learning alongside Huni Kuin families in the Amazon.
His role in this journey is to act as a cultural and musical bridge, bringing years of field research into conversation with a Western musical framework. Through Beyond Sounds, he creates a structure where cultural context, direct recordings and musical understanding can meet, helping students develop their own relationship with sound and prayer.

the foundation of this project, not
something separate from it.
Up to 50%
of the income generated through the modules will be directed to the association supporting the families and villages connected with this study.
100%
of the streaming income from the companion albums, together with donations connected with the project, will return to the families.
